As a survivor I bought this book with a little bit of hope. But not much. I have been and I suspect will continue to be pleasantly surprised. This is not patronising, is not full of irrelevant statistics and nor is it about wallowing in self pity and pain. Its positive, upbeat, real and to the point. It explains things how it is and not how you would want it to be which can be difficult at first. It has given me permission to feel how I feel and be how I am, and has also made me think about why I am and why I feel the way I do. Suicide prevention plans, support systems, everything is covered here to ensure that you continue to be a survivor and that you finish up being _proud_ of being one. This book is becoming a source of a lot of change in my life, and I don't know how else to convince you all reading this that you really should buy this book.
