A non-profit making organisation based in the UK dedicated to provide help, support and information to any adult who is suffering from past childhood abuse.

Black Women's Rape Action Project & Women Against Rape One in six women has been raped. Of Black women, nearly 1 in 8 has suffered racist sexual assault. 98% of domestic violence is not reported to the police. An estimated 50% of women seeking asylum in Britain have fled rape. WAR offers support, legal advocacy, info, counselling & campaigns.

Breaking Free supports women survivors of childhood sexual abuse. It aims to provide a safe, confidential, supportive, understanding and non-judgemental environment for women to deal with all issues arising from their experiences of sexual abuse as children. Breaking Free is a registered charity, offering the following services: a telephone helpline, Individual counselling, weekly support groups. Support by letter, a quarterly newsletter, talks and training to voluntary and statutory bodies. Outreach service.

Crisis Recovery Unit Beckenham aims to help individuals to seek alternatives to self harming, to gain a greater understanding of the meaning that self harm has for them and to tolerate distressing feelings The service has been designed to deal with patients that other services have found difficult to help and who make frequent use of emergency services or multiple care agencies; offering a six month care package.

Many patients have been diagnosed as having a borderline personality disorder and may have suffered from severe depression or alcohol/drug abuse. They will often have severe emotional problems linked to sexual abuse or other adverse experiences in early life.

Crisis Recovery Unit Camberwell is a national, specialist service for people of 17 years and above who persistently harm themselves. The Service offers both inpatient and outpatient treatment. The service is provided by a multidisciplinary team led by a Consultant Psychiatrist. Members of the team include psychiatrists, specialist nurses, psychotherapists, social worker and occupational therapist. The Haven is for anyone living in south east London who has been sexually assaulted. They provide services especially for men, women and children living in Bexley, Bromley, Croydon, Greenwich, Lambeth, Lewisham, Southwark and Sutton.

Jewish Women's Aid - JWA aims to break the silence surrounding domestic violence through education and awareness-raising programmes. JWA operates a national freephone confidential Helpline. The first Refuge in Europe for Jewish women and their children fleeing domestic violence is now open. Two informal Drop In Groups meet weekly in NW and NE London. Mothers of Sexually Abused Children Mosac is a voluntary organisation supporting all non abusing parents and carers whose children have been sexually abused, to provide support, advice, information and counselling following the discovery of sexual abuse. Women's Therapy Centre provides psychotherapy for women with mental health problems. By providing therapy for women by women the Centre aims to enable women to make positive changes in their lives. The Women's Therapy Centre also aims to make its services available to women who do not usually have access to therapy: women from black and minority ethnic communities, refugees and aslysum seekers, young women, disabled women and women on low incomes.
