I think I see the difference between emotional and psychological abuse. And I think I definitely had both.

I think gaslighting is a type of psychological abuse, because it distorts what you believe to be true.

I think neglect, not stepping up to caregiver duties etc, that's emotional abuse ...

I was struck by that too AM. Also that the 4 types of abuse, sexual, physical, emotional and psychological, were fairly equally represented.

It's hard to forgive when the perpetrators lie about what they've done, do not acknowledge the extent of the harm,

I might be assuming wrong, but I kind of thought that as we're approaching the end of 2022, maybe the £1000 goal was set because funds were looking to be running short by about that sort of amount by the end of the year ie 31st Dec.
