Request for help to make a documentary

As you know every now and then we receive requests from people writing articles, studying for qualifications, radio interviews etc.

I have been contacted by an independant documentary maker who is looking to make a programme on survivors of abuse. I always try and help out where I can and allow people to advertise for help here on the site. I do believe an important part of breaking the cycle of abuse starts with breaking the silence, coming forward and sharing stories etc. Here's the request:

I am interested in speaking to survivors on child abuse for a documentary I am making. I am interested in what happened to the survivor when they were young, and what support they have got since and whether they are getting enough support now. The documentary is preliminary titled "An adult voice; the survivors of child abuse". I am aiming to make this documentary get high viewing figures through the internet and hopefully broadcast on T.V, and if you wish you can be interviewed annonymously. I am flexible to travel to you and would take the interview at the pace you want, and if you would like someone there with you for support that's more than ok. A little about me, I am an independant documentary maker based in Leicester, and trained in Media Production at De Montfort University. Any questions please dont hesistate to get in touch. I would be interested to contribute something written/ e-mail about economic and international differences in treatment of the older generation of survivors.

However, I DO NOT have time or energy for a live interview: too focused on surviving economically and am cynical about the tv business and the possibility of social change.

Sadly the UK seems to be all stitched up tight by the middle classes.
