HAVOCA Chat

Postby Jamie » Sun Oct 11, 2009 7:13 pm

We now have a Chat facility up and running. All you need to do is click on the chat link at the top of the page and a new window will open. Feel free to practise at your leisure.

The chat room is fully secure and only members can access the room.

At the bottom right of the chat room there are several controls for you to play with...don't be shy, jump in and give it a go.

Perhaps we can put a chat room diary in place to allow people to book a suitable time to meet up.

I hope you like it

Jamie

Postby Jamie » Mon Oct 26, 2009 10:32 pm

Have you ever noticed how conflict can get blown out of proportion online? What may begin as a small difference of opinion, or misunderstanding, becomes a major issue very quickly. Conflict can be difficult at the best of times, but what is it about online communication that seems to ignite "flaming" and make conflicts more difficult to resolve?

There are a number of reasons to explain why conflict may be heightened online. One is the absence of visual and auditory cues. When we talk [...]

HAVOCA - Temporary Closure

Due to numerous errors and problems with our current hosts. I am thinking about changing suppliers. This means the site will be down for approximately 24-72 hours whilst the domain is transfered over. I thought I'd give people advance warning and I will post here when I know when and how this will happen.

I understand this will be a difficult time for some people and I hope to minimise the disruption by choosing a reputable host whislt maintaining the status quo of [...]
