HAVOCA Member of the Year 2009 Awards

This award is given to the member who consistently provides great support to other people on the forum. The winner is nominated by fellow members for being selfless, consistant, supportive, friendly, welcoming, encouraging, positive.

This is your chance to vote for the member you feel has given you the most support or appears to give themselves to others 'above and beyond' what you feel is normal.

You can nominate anyone from the forum including Moderators (but not me because Im counting the votes and i don't want the temptation to cheat ).

The winner will be annouced in January 2010 once I've counted all the votes

Actually i think we are ALL worthy winners....not wanting to push it away nor upset anyone here - just find it incredibly difficult to accept compliments. something i still struggle with.

We respond to one another as and when we are able. Some of us can respond more easily with one type of posts than another. Or we can relate to something because of our experience/wisdom/education/reading/compassion.

Sometimes i feel that my posts arent as warm as other ones here. i'll often think that i come across as cold. that i tell it how it is. that i lack - well just warmth. i dont feel i am always able to convey that. i dont know whether that is justified and its therefore something i can continue to work on and improve. Self awareness is often half the battle.

But i know i have moved a long way on my own journey because of what i first found here at HAVOCA way back in October 2004. The real star of this site and this forum is dear Jamie.

All thanks go to him for his inspiration and determination to set this place up in the beginning.

Well done Liz. You fit the criteria of the member of the year so perfectly. Perhaps your posts aren't as warm as you may like, but I admire your ability to reply to anything that this forum may bring up and I feel that your warmth comes from the fact that you are willing to put in so much effort every day.

Thank you too Jamie. I often look at this forum and marvel at the comfort that your initiative brings to so many including myself.
