Me too.. but also...

The opportunity to be honest - with myself and others & to see my thoughts on 'paper'. There's something in the fact that others will read my words that makes me feel listened to and understood for the first time.

Thank you everyone.

Almost exactly what CA said, & also the fact that I often write things down without thinking & then look at them later & think - wow where did that come from?

& never having to explain, just being able to say I feel sad & lonely without anyone expecting me to just snap out of it or tell them what I'm sad about.

Bless you all - expecially Jamie!

I can be me. All that i am - stretching way back to elizabeth and then Lizzy and now Liz. I've found elizabeth and Lizzy through all my exploration here - through all my many 'pages' of writing.

I'm accepted. And that's huge to me. Ppl might not always agree with what i say - nor would i wish them to; might not always like what i say - that's fine too; but acceptance is profound.

I belong. I fit in. Have my place here - as we all do as members. Equal. Being a moderator adds to the responsibility, the care of others. i don't see myself as sitting 'up there' - a different colour maybe - but that is needed to be a light to others.

I have this very special place where i can give somethng back. Been here a long while now and i so needed to find this site and i drew strength and courage to face what i needed to face. Found this place where others understood without me having to say it all again every time or even say very much. Becoming a moderator continues that process - being there for others as others were once there for me. Giving financially too. Not alot but it makes a small difference. Giving my time and my love and my care, my knowledge and myself.

The very special ppl i have 'met' and continue to meet and some in everyday life.

The healing which has happened down the years. and continues...

The listening - the profound sense of being heard, receiving validation, acknowlegement. Such a biggie.

Being forgiven. Over and over and over again. when i havent got it quite right.

...its there. 24/7. Very special to me. A significant part of my life. An utterly profound, priceless and precious place.

i can be me, myself, no matter how i feel or whats happening, i feel ok about expressing how I feel and i feel not judged or condemned.
I also really like the fact that i feel listened to, by others who perhaps have had similiar experiences.
The other thing i love about this place is I can sometimes give something back, contribute something, not just taking áll the time.

The people -

I think its a fantastic community with much care and understanding. I certainly would not be where I am today without it and without the brilliant people who have added their sound and caring words. Support is fantastic, gives you the ability to search within yourself - to find your own answers. And their is an abundance of support here.

Fabulous everyone

Finding care and understanding, non judgement, compassion.

i can go over the same things ten thousand million times and no -one says "but you've already said that". - as they might and do in real life out there.

too numerous qualities to say in one post.

I like the patience and empathy most of all, I think. Very grateful in general, really.

You're right there Liz - I might need to answer this in chapters .

The first thing I love is the fact I found it when I did. Not sure where I'd be now if I hadn't.
Being listened to, understood and supported has made a huge difference to me.
The patience and care of wonderful people being with me, as I explore it all,
( and putting up with my rambles and rants.. )

Being here's allowed me to restore some faith in myself.

Thank you, ( sounds inadequate somehow ) glad I discovered this site xx

There is acceptance

it doesnt have to be a secret anymore

everybody is friendly

there is empathy and compassion

the feeling of not being alone

the spirit of the place

its not judgemental

you can be honest and truthful

i could go on for ages but these are just a few :)
