My HAVOCA Trek

I haven't quite achieved it yet, but it didn't appear to fit anywhere else .......

I have booked myself to go, all by my ownsome, on a fundraising trek to raise money for HAVOCA (well it will be with a group, but I am going on my own if you see what I mean).

So between 16th & 20th of May I will be trekking 55km to the summit of Mount Etna in Sicily, the highest active volcano in Europe at 3,350m. We will be sleeping in mountain huts on the way up - the nearest I am prepared to get to a tent, even for HAVOCA!

If anyone would like to sponsor me I have set up a paypal account at havoca.trek@btinternet.comso money can be transferred directly into that if you have a paypal account. I have produced a flyer & sponsor form with all the details about what I am doing so if anyone wants a look or feels able to use these to request sponsorship from anyone else, just drop me a PM with an email address and I will be happy to forward them on. I am paying for the trip myself, so everything donated will be coming directly to Havoca.

Havoca means a lot to me so I want to do the best I can to raise some much needed funds, but the trip itself is also a big thing for me. I am quite adventurous anyway, but I have been with my hubby since I was 18 & I really want to try doing something alone, just to see what 'me' is like, so it's part of my journey too I suppose.

I'll keep you updated with how the money is going!
