HAVOCA Online Shop
I've just put the finishing touches to our new Online Store.
The last one had rapidly declined due to a lack of support from the Amazon Affiliate Programme and the coming demise of 'flash'
I would welcome your view of the new Online Store and any recommendations for the future:

Re: HAVOCA Online Shop
Works well for me, and much much better than the old way.
I had looked at ordering books before, but couldn't get used to the process from havoca to amazon, seemed like something clumsy about me or the system.
Now perfect, will have a proper peruse when I get some time. Thankyou Jamie.

If people have specific items or categories, I can add them as the place grows.

Ooh, Nice. Only thing I can think of is that the background of the graphic for the Supporters category doesn’t contrast well with the word “supporters” on my phone screen. (iPhone)
Other that it’s nice and straightforward, Jamie!

Works for me now
although I couldn't see my introduction to the literature "Victim No More" by Mike Lew in the Male section.

Re: HAVOCA Online Shop
Hi Jamie
All good apart from a few small things and one big.
The small ones:
- actnormal's right, the image behind the "supporters" link needs to be changed as the writing is white on white currently
- it's not at all clear what the "leave a reply" form below is for: a reply to what? If it means "leave a comment" (as the prompt in the box suggests), "reply" needs to be changed to "comment" (and personally I would de-bold the text and make it far smaller, can't see any reason for it to be the most demanding thing on the page and it currently overshadows the delicate text in the link boxes)
The big one:
- seems to me many of the most significant texts on recovery aren't there: "The Body Knows the Score", as star 2010 pointed out, Judith Herman's "Trauma and Recovery", anything good on IFS, Peter Levine's books. To me, the offering seems very incomplete without at least these...
Cheers

"The Body Knows the Score" was already in the abuse list but Ive added to the general section too.
Ive added Trauma and Recovery to the Physical Abuse section

No idea how to do that, so I've turned it off for now.ashridge_mack wrote: ↑Fri Dec 25, 2020 7:42 am - it's not at all clear what the "leave a reply" form below is for: a reply to what? Re: HAVOCA Online Shop
A “Reply” box still exists on the General Survivor page, Jamie,
And this is one of the key texts which ashridge_mack refers to, and should be included;
Complex PTSD - From Surviving to Thriving by Pete Walker
It gets recommend by someone on Havoca about once per week, and is potentially the item with the highest sale volume.
Entirely separately, I’m suddenly unable to use BBCode in this post when it has clearly worked above (I can’t quote) aah... only the Trustee can use it in “announcements”

Yes, it's on some of them so people can make recommendations.actnormal wrote: ↑Fri Dec 25, 2020 2:39 pm A “Reply” box still exists on the General Survivor page, Jamie,

I've turned the comments off of the main page (the Online Shop).
The book you mentioned is now added!
