Re: Poll - Who was your abuser/s
oh ek
This question has ... well I have really gone else where with it ..
But, a simple question really and one I should answer or rather be able to answer- -
Tis too hard Jamie - its not a forum post, as in it's open to the public and therefore, I cannot post. Feels too big right now,
Sorry

That's Ok Sigma, I understand. You don't have to post an answer and any Poll selection you make is anonymous.
The poll sections allow others to see how wide spread the abuse is and it also allows other survivors to see that they aren't alone.
Take your time, no proessure to post or even do the poll.

Re: Poll - Who was your abuser/s
cant answer that one either ! guess it depends on the type of abuse the pole is refering to , think most people have been abused by more than one person and in more than one way ??

The poll allows you to select multiple options.nicky wrote:cant answer that one either ! guess it depends on the type of abuse the pole is refering to , think most people have been abused by more than one person and in more than one way ??

My abusers were
Boyfriend
his brother

the other four I will have to call strangers, they were friends or associates of the above.
I entered other on the poll.
They all sexually abused me

Even now I am too scared to state who the other is - it is more than one person they are not on the list and they are not a stranger

Re: Poll - Who was your abuser/s
I chose the 'other' option as well for my stepmother, she has been nothing more than a horribly angry woman who has made it her life mission to alienate our father from us..I included my father in this selection as well for his enabling and endorsement of her behavior.

Re: Poll - Who was your abuser/s
step-father and then, in a way, my mother for being too emotionally weak to handle it and therefore neglecting me by staying married to him
Re: Poll - Who was your abuser/s
I think the trouble with this type of poll, is that when abuse starts at a young age, if not discovered you immediately you become the target of other sick souls, it's like they know your damaged and will never tell. Then you become an adult and it still not addressed you open yourself up to abusive relationships, because that's all you have ever known.
