Forgive and Forget at Christmas
Forgiveness is a very emotive subject for survivors. Any mention of the word forgiveness normally evokes a defensive response because the survivor or victim assumes the writer is talking about forgiving the abuser. But forgiveness doesn’t have to be about the abuser. Forgiveness starts with the self. As a victim and a child, we may have developed some coping mechanisms that served us well during the abuse. However, these coping mechanisms may be holding us back in adult life and may be holding us back into that victim regime. To survive perhaps we need to forgive are younger selves. Perhaps that forgiveness can be the catalyst for further recovery.
On the subject of forgiveness, we are pleased to announce the receipt of £1300 from musical group The Cides

And good for The Cides. I've never heard of them before but I'll be looking for them from now on.
