At Coventry Rape And Sexual Abuse Centre we know that there is no typical survivor which is why we treat everyone who comes to us for support as an individual.
Our helpline is open Monday to Friday 10am to 2pm and Monday and Thursday from 6pm to 8pm
It offers free and confidential initial support and information to anyone from the age of 5 years old who has been affected by sexual violence, no matter when or how it happened. We also provide support to parents, partners, supporters and professionals.
The helpline can also book you an appointment to see a counsellor or a crisis and advocacy worker for ongoing support, signpost you to other services if you need them and arrange for language interpreters if your first language is not English.
Our primary aim has always been to provide support, information and advocacy to female victims and survivors of sexual violence. Over recent years CRASAC has expanded some of its service provision to support men and boys but the provision of and importance of women only spaces has been maintained. This is because CRASAC recognises that sexual violence is both a cause and consequence of gender inequality within our society and so is a crime that disproportionately affects women and girls.
