Wings Foundation

If you’ve found your way to this site, chances are you may be wondering if the issue of childhood sexual abuse may be impacting your life.

The truth is – no matter how you fit into this issue, you are not alone.

Childhood sexual abuse affects all of us, who live in this society together. And it will take all of us – learning and growing together – to heal the wounds and break the cycle of childhood sexual abuse (CSA).

That’s why WINGS Foundation exists.

That’s the very good news. Healing is possible. And it is good for all of us.

So WINGS works to empower all of us – survivors, loved ones, providers and communities – to have the resources we need to speak about, heal from and thrive beyond childhood sexual abuse trauma.

Specifically, we work to empower adults who have experienced this abuse in childhood, and those who support them. When we effectively do so, survivors’ lives – and all of our lives – are healthier, happier and stronger

In WINGS support groups, survivors are believed, accepted, and no longer feel alone. Survivors focus on the struggles they are facing today as a result of the abuse and on moving forward rather than continuing to be controlled by the past.

WINGS groups are open to adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse who are over the age of 18. WINGS welcomes ALL survivors regardless of race, color, national origin, age, disability, sex, gender identity, religion, reprisal, and where applicable, political beliefs, marital status, familial or parental status, sexual orientation or income level. We have mixed-gender groups, groups divided by identified gender, LGBTQ groups, expressive arts groups and groups for loved ones. Groups are held for 2 hours weekly. There is no time limit for how long a person can stay in a group.

How do I join a group?
All survivors or loved ones interested in joining a support group must first contact the WINGS office to complete a brief telephone intake (20-30 minutes). All information shared over the phone is kept completely confidential. If you would like to join a group, contact us at (303) 238-8660 in the Denver metro area or (800) 373-8671 outside the Denver metro area.
