We’re incredibly honoured to welcome five new moderators to the HAVOCA Survivor Boards — a beautiful, rare moment in our community’s history that reflects the strength, diversity, and compassion of those who call this space home.

Welcome, Cocopop21, Clods, free_butterfly, John100 and lost_ember!

Each of our new team members brings with them a story, a voice, and a journey that is deeply their own. Moderation here is never about pressure or perfection — it’s about presence, pacing, and supporting one another however we can. Our new moderators are still navigating their own healing paths, and their wellbeing remains their priority. You may see them gently stepping in and out, finding the rhythms that feel right, and offering support as and when it aligns with their journey.

For those of us who’ve been here a while, you know the power of a warm hello, a soft nudge, or simply knowing someone else is nearby. So if you feel moved, please extend your welcome in whatever way feels natural — a wave, a message, a quiet smile from afar.

We’re grateful they’ve chosen to walk alongside us in this way. The whole forum feels brighter already.

Congratulations @free_butterfly and everyone else who's volunteering to be a moderator. I don't envy your jobs as mods because I know I've been a pain in the backside at times during my time here, and I've seen some big dramas unfold that I wish now that I didn't participate in or get upset by. But we're all survivors with different triggers and different experiences and different needs, all except one - to heal from our trauma. It's sometimes an impossible task to keep everything calm and it's impossible to keep everyone happy all the time, so thank you for volunteering to moderate this vast and diverse board! Ihope you all find your new roles helpful to your healing and rewarding too.
