Inquiry report finds child sexual abuse in most major UK religions
by IICSA

Child sexual abuse has been found in most major UK religions, according to a new report by the Inquiry; with some found to have no child protection policies in place at all.

The ‘Child protection in religious organisations and settings’ report examined evidence received from 38 religious organisations with a presence in England and Wales, with the figures provided to the Inquiry about known prevalence of child sexual abuse unlikely to reflect the full picture.

Although this blog only gives an overview of the report, I was reading this on the BBC news yesterday and in more detail the report states about victim shaming and self preservation being prevalent in religious organisations. Worth checking out.

There is no limit on suffering so there should be no time limitation on reporting the crime that started the suffering.

Many children are sexually abused, physically abused and emotionally abused within registered school settings. Just because there are child protection policies and procedures in place doesn't mean children don't regularly slip through the safety net or worse.

Ugh I feel like becoming a paedophile hunter at this point.

My blood is BOILING.

My abusers walked away free..I wish I had the health to join the police and work child protection.

some victims feel worthless, not worth anything, it tales a while to know someone may listen, to trust , victims need time.
