I've put a reminder in my calendar for payday to send a little extra this month.

I have no idea how much time never mind the money it takes to keep the site up and running. So thank you very very much.
I'm not religious, and would appreciate this being respected in any replies to my threads.

I was not abused by a family member.

If it gets me a jetpack, I’ll send £600 at the end of the month 😁 but I suspect it’s something a little less exciting.

I've not donated in a long long time. I'll correct that later on today Jamie.

And so I did....

Do you have to be a registered charity to get gift aid? The PayPal fees aren't much but it annoys me that if I donate £10 elsewhere they get £12.50 but you only get £9.50ish!

Also intrigued by the jetpack!

I asked the same question years ago Coco. It costs money to become a charity. So annoyingly gift aid isn’t an option. You can have a go of my jetpack though if mine arrives before yours 😁

Let’s say we get an average of 25 people use the site over the course of a week. If each of us donated £1 (about $1.30 / €1.20). And we managed that 4 times a year.

That’s a £100.

Which would cover the SEO. Helping more people find the support here. All those people who think it’s only them that feel the way they do, that think they’re alone, that nobody will ever believe them much less listen and support. People with no idea that there’s a whole community here that understands what it’s like to feel alone with something horrible.

Obviously I think Jamie is open to donations of more than £1. But even £1 can make a difference.

I wonder if sponsor status could last for a limited time. May be logistically difficult or impossible but I was pretty surprised that I donated £20 in 2011 and still had the perks in 2025.

I also wonder if you could have what Wikipedia sometimes have - you know a thing that flashes up when you go on asking for a donation?

I have no idea about the technical aspects of these things. Just thoughts.

I just donated 25 pounds. I will try to do this if I can every month. This site is very helpful for me.

I’ve sent my summer clear out money this morning. But for some reason PayPal wasn’t working for one of my cards. Don’t know if it’s a PayPal issue. But thought I’d mention it.
