Ok, so a possible bug, settings thing.
In some threads when I reply I have all the options for bold italic etc and others such as this: https://www.havoca.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=32542 I don't. I'm guessing it might be a setting?-but it might just be me?

Bit of a pain but you could use bbcode
