Each year, our community comes together to recognise one member who has consistently gone above and beyond, someone who supports others, embodies the HAVOCA spirit, and makes this space a little brighter for everyone.

This year, the result was crystal clear. Please join me in congratulating Ashridge_Mack – HAVOCA’s Member of the Year!

From the warmth of their support to the steady encouragement they offer across the forum, Ashridge_Mack has been a standout presence throughout the year. The votes reflected exactly what so many of us already know: their contributions make a genuine difference. A huge thank you to everyone who took the time to vote, and an even bigger thank you to Ashridge_Mack for everything they bring to our community.

But clearly especially this last year your care and empathy,, encouragement and quiet wisdom acknowledged by those who have received all of the above and others who have observed perhaps from a distance.

Wow. Golly gosh, how amazing and out of the blue and weird and warm-feeling-in-my-tummy making...

Well, and thank you all so much! It's lovely to feel appreciated, though my childhood didn't exactly help with making it easy to take such feelings on lol - but I doubt I'm alone there. Which actually makes the whole thing more special, this appreciation from people (perhaps) so often denied it themselves in the past.

And so I want to say it's all of you / us, really, who deserve this appreciation for being special, and for making this place the oasis of refuge, community, safety and sharing it is (well, for me, anyway)! And, of course, the magical Jamie, who should obviously get Organiser of the Year every year without fail, for actually allowing us all to be here and share this.

So, nice to be singled out and I do very much appreciate it , but it's imho an appreciation we're all part of, and that belongs to all of us and we all deserve.

Okay, so yeah, maybe I'm being a bit What - me?-ish about it, but I do genuinely believe it whatever!

Congratulations AM, well deserved. When I joined this forum about 10 years ago, your replies and posts were very insightful, supportive and helpful.

You've walked your own difficult journey here over the last 10 years. And shared your wisdom with us.

You've given lots of support to many and your posts can show a different perspective and allow many of us to process things differently.

I know for me your knowledge on inner child work has helped me to look at myself differently and move forward with less shame.
So thank you for your wisdom, empathy and support to the Havoca community X
