About Rebekah Brown

Author, Rebekah Brown, a survivor of long-term childhood trauma, writes extensively about recovery from Complex PTSD as well as the heart break that comes from growing up in a complicated, narcissistic and abusive family system. Her writing style is insightful as well as uplifting. https://authorrebekahbrown.com/ When she began her healing journey, there was virtually nothing written and very little understood about recovery from childhood trauma. Rebekah felt condemned to live with symptoms such as emotional flashbacks, anxiety and depression forever. Through her own research, hard work, therapy and determination, Rebekah has found that healing is possible. Her message is simple. Though childhood trauma does alter a person’s way of being in the world, it is possible, despite the obstacles and the differences in each of our stories, to defy trauma and embrace joy. A native of the South, Rebekah Brown now resides in the Great American West. She is the mother of two sons and four grandchildren.
