Description of Agency: SurvivorsUK helps men who have been sexually violated and raises awareness of their needs – we define sexual violation to include childhood sexual abuse and adult sexual assault including but not limited to rape. We do this by providing a national helpline, one to one counselling and group therapy services. The organisation also supports the families and carers of these men through provision of helpline and group services and signposts to other organisations nationally. SurvivorsUK supplies training to counsellors and front line workers likely to come into contact with this client group to ensure a robust and sensitive service provision is widely available.
